As WQA Aquatech USA 2010 approaches, organizers have been listening to long-time participants in order to shape an event that will best fit today’s needs and tomorrow’s demands. Robin Barna, CWS-II, who has been attending the convention for 15 years, talked about the importance of asking questions and interacting during edu- cational sessions. “You get so much more in-depth information when you’re there in person than you do from reading,” Barna says. “The personal contact is so important.” Like Barna, others have spoken of how valuable personal interaction can be. WQA Aquatech USA is a great value, too. Where else can you go to meet the people, touch the technology and hear the ideas that are creating the industry’s future? Despite the recession (or perhaps because of it), those in the industry are taking greater advantage of the show. Consider last year: • 21 percent of exhibitors were first- time participants
